ditchman
Would drop a 200 in there Would probably be the same price been looking for a 200 defender engine for 6 mths.....not paying £600 for a scrap one and another min£300 on parts....the 200 disc engine ...the casings are different and they usually match up with R180 gearbox not a LT77.....300 seris is a different block and downpipe like disco 200 and different engine mount position i can get this 2.5td bored and crosshoned to fit the 020th oversize pistons , new oil pump all new valves, springs, guides bottom end shells , big ends top and bottom gasket set, new complete borg clutch,....blah blah blah.... all for £670 quid.......no brainer really....i only drive it at 50mph...use it everyday...parts are really cheap for the old TD....... Paul223
300 will mount ok you just need the adapter bracket to go around the oil filter For the work involved I'd go 2/300 way better than the td, td was always a nail I have 2 300tdi's, don't mind moving one on for £350, it'd come with everything, rad alt start intercooler pipes down pipe, let me know if your interested

Paul223
Send it all back! Only kidding, no worries, if I'd seen the ad I would have responded I'm not desperate to sell which is why I've not offered it for sale on here, just thought it'd be a better bit of kit for you. Oxon T
I've got a soft top and not looking to sell but have a think about practicality and security. I love the soft top but it's noisy and not secure etc so just make sure you think it through and don't just like the look of them...
