Correct FAC application form?

Recommended Posts

Looks up to date, but if you live in Surrey why not use the one on the Surrey Police website? Then there can be no arguments. :good:

The forms have changed, use whatever your region want.

My lad has just renewed his coterminous and the region actually sent him old style forms to complete for the renewal, he filled them all in and returned (and referees) only for the region themselves to refuse/return them to him saying they had to be on the new style form.

To say we were ****** off is an understatement, especially as they didn't even send him the new forms but told him to download them off their site, 11 pages worth I seem to remember!

a doctors form its NOT REPEAT NOT LEGAL.the home office approved form is it .all else is dribble .they can ask what they like but its not a legal requirement and if you download the correct forms they cant contridict them as they are breaking the law

You seem to have missed the point.

Both the forms the OP is questioning are the prescribed form 201. It's just that one is editable as per e-commerce implementation and the other isn't.

No they aren't, the Met forms are the correct Home Office version.

Surrey have added the requirement for the referees to sign the application, this is NOT required using the correct version of the 201 form, you only have to provide the referees details.

nb. If you want to see some really bad versions have a look at Durhams, they look like they have been put through a 20yr old fax by a 5yr old! https://www.durham.police.uk/Information-and-advice/firearms-and-firearms-licensing/Documents/Form%20201%20including%20additions.pdf
