You will find it has 'heavier' handling, but may be better if you want to shoot a lot of clays. Personally, I think for game, and light clays use I would prefer the No 2. ditchman Posted August 10, 2014 Report Share Posted August 10, 2014 Try a No 4 boxlock............i had a number 2 for 30 years and now have a no 4 boxlock....little bit lighter nicely balanced 26" but tightly choked ...im still getting used to the chokes ! figgy Posted August 10, 2014 Report Share Posted August 10, 2014 (edited) There are two models one the 53 is a lovely light side lock game gun of which someone I know has one. The other is a heavier than normal gun the 56. There are two 53's with different letters but I think there the same basic gun.
