Found a promising field of wheat stubble full of pigeon, on an amazing flight line had my biggest day here about 5 years ago, 400 birds BUT its right next to the SAS camp and spoke to the people concerned and the guys are on red alert! The amount of machine gun fire and small arms fire they are really putting in some practice so will give that one a wide birth!

Being laid up for 5 weeks , but now can drive so been looking for a mate to give him a day been hard lots of birds spread all over , each field has a few on it, cutting beans this week may do good on them .

The military can't stop you shooting on private land where you have permission even if it does border MOD property. And to be honest I suspect a humble pigeon shooter is not high up on their priorities. Tell the MOD plod out of politeness if you feel the need, but get the decoys out!

Too right !!

A open carry shotgun shooter outside the fence is no issue to them, it's the concealed carry jumping over the fence. They shouldn't be concerned when they r letting rip themselves with a field hunter. I used to shoot in a field across the road from a local army camp. A returning helicopter would sometimes come in close for a look, we'd just hold up our fac and not run!
