clayman
One way of getting cheap clays is to buy pick-ups from a clay ground. Another is to pallet share with another buyer, as the more you buy the cheaper they get. Grounds often sell new boxed clays as they are getting truck loads in, so check out local grounds and see if they sell, boxed or pick-ups. In the latter case they can even be free, as some grounds will not re-use fall out clays as they have a higher breakup ratio in auto traps. You could well get clays for nought if you arrange to clear a range after shooting.
