fishingtex
Hi all just about to change the tyres on my Ford Ranger Wildtrak. Rather than put the Grabber AT2 on I might put on some Maxxis AT771 on? Anyone have these on already? if so what are they like? Good on and off road? My off road stuff is muddy lanes/fields and wet slippery hills. Nothing too daring. I would appreciate any info on these tyres. Cheers Tex

fruity
I put them on my terrano when I changed tyres recently They seem pretty good off road which I do similar to what you describe, muddy tracks what tractors have used etc One thing I have notice is there's a very small increase in road noise compared to the previous ones Hope this helps
Albert 888
I was in the same boat and whent for the cooperat3 not done much with them at the moment, but what I have done has been quite good on the road and good off road on moderate green lanes, big test on sat with a pay and play day. FoxyChris
Go with coopers. Much better on road than the Maxxis and quieter at speed. They both seem the same off road although I don't do anything too extreme in my L200.
figgy
Friend put the Cooper discover tyres on his ranger and swears by them he goes all over farms off-road only time he got stuck he put it in a ditch and done some damage. He reckoned they were better than the original fitment tyres on Tarmac. Figgy Edited September 25, 2014 by figgy
fishingtex
Thanks for the info fellas. I have just looked at the cooper discover at, but they do not do the size that I need ( 255/60/18 ). I am still torn between the maxis for cheapness or go the hole hog and have the grabber AT2 which will hopefully last longer as well?? BrowningDJC
Maxis are good tyres for the money, but I don't think they will give the same off road performance as the general grabbers.
Albert 888
OK whent out with the cooper at3's in a pay and play sand quarry and they performed absolutely great sand mud water bare rocks and out drove the other oil burning chipfat smelling landrover on the way home,I would recommend them.
