wymberley
Can anyone kindly tell me what the mark on the barrel which appears to be a cross between a capital letter 'T' and a palm tree and which is 'underlined' is? I've looked everywhere that I can think of but can't find it. Many thanks.
Gunman
To be frank there have been that many changes in proof marks that every one gets confused . I have asked the proof houses for information but they seem quite reluctant to do so .

Westward
It sounds like the steel proof mark (fleur de lis).

wymberley
Nearly did an edit because after I posted I thought the fleur-de-lis might crop up as it is close-ish to my description. But no, the fleur-de-lis is there as well.

Andy H
As above take some pictures of the proof marks and post them but do not forget there may be more under the barrel only visable with the forearm removed.

Are you saying that the top line of your reply is what the "T" means - that was my OP? If not and you're simply saying that that is how the Browning reference reads to you, I disagree as I read it that the restrictions on shot sizes apply to the two models listed at/below item 2. I think my Maxus falls into the category at/below Item 1 where the only restriction is the tighter chokes. (Item 3 list those models where steel shot is a no no) Cheers
Guest stevo
to be honest the more I read it im not sure , I just typed the question into google and it came up with that browning site , if I was you , I would fire an email off to browning . They will give you a definitive answer .
