scolopax
If you are releasing frenchies what are you feeding them on? Of three big shoots I know of one feeds cracked maize and graded (small) wheat mixed, another pellets and the third pellets on release then changes over to wheat quite quickly. matone
Most shoots that I know keep them on pellets but they are on edge of hill ground.

Konnie
depends on surrounding pressure from shooting. pellets till they get settled then wheat, they need to make their home where you want them, if you feed wheat straight away and your neighbour is also and they get pushed off by buzzard etc the food on the new patch is the same.
