new to the flock
As a hot sandwich it has to be Venison cooked to pink.....no further......and sliced thin, piled around 2 inches thick on 1 inch thick homemade bread. Must have a top slice of bread too. And then smother the whole works with a red wine and mushroom gravy. Served with mashed taters on the side also covered in gray and fresh ground black pepper. Cold sandwich would be spanish onion cut 1/4 inch thick with lots of mayo, and covered in fresh ground pepper. Unfortunately as I have grown older these have started to give me heartburn so I can now only eat one every six months or so. But boy are they tasty when I do NTTF
