al4x
Stick with the variable, an 8x56 is a great stalking scope but for foxing I like more magnification. A fox at 200 yards is a much nicer target at night with the scope wound up a little.
welshwarrior
S&B for me robust a reliable, magnification is addictive kick the habit I did all variables now off my rifles and fix mag mostly 6x42 fitted all German glass.
rabbiter
thanks for the input guys,i do agree with al4x though,as I do sometimes use different magnification in different situations, but like I said above ive gone for the Burris anyway, too good a price to miss it..... tharsus
Told you I had a Mamba on my 308, then a Burris fullfield the fullfield was a cracking scope, streets ahead of the Mamba and was actually cheaper from the States shot deer at first and last light and was shooting moa at 300 on the range. I then bought a 4/12x50 meopro after looking through it in the shop, brought it home and did not even mount it because the fullfield was better side by side. Took it back and swapped it for a secondhand Swaro 8x50, that was like having a torch mounted on your scope at dusk, cracking in low light the S&B is the same, great stalking and foxing scopes but thick reticles when shooting at distance and obviously no vari mag. Burris make cracking scopes nd you will not shoot any less foxes with it.
