Highlander
In a letter on behalf of the Conservative leadership, former Chief Whip David MacLean MP instructs MPs "to reassure our friends in the hunting world that a Tory government would overturn the Hunting Act as a matter of urgency." and boy will he be reminded of that when they get returned. naddan28
Also I hear he deerstalks and shoots pheasants! Things are looking up  assuming he stays true to his sport and doesn't engage in appeasment politics.
lurcherboy
That would be enough to get me to a ballot box again after a 9 year break. LB

lurcherboy
The only problem is my MP, Roger Gale, voted for the ban and he is a tory that was brought up with the hunt  When I contacted him he said he was willing to discuss the proposed ban but would not change his views. We never met :o LB
hughiep
Of course they ALL tell you what they want you to hear, then get voted in and totaly disreguard anything they said......also if you dont vote you cant moan about who is or isnt running the country. Lurch
also if you dont vote you cant moan about who is or isnt running the country Of course you can. Anyway if I didn't vote it might mean that the Labour guy gets a 12,001 majority instead of 12,000 - so what's the point?
Mungler
Elections? Isn't that what Japanese gentlemen get on their wedding night?

Anyway if I didn't vote it might mean that the Labour guy gets a 12,001 majority instead of 12,000 - so what's the point? It is a good job we all don't take that attitude. You were given the chance to vote and decided not to, therefore keep schtum or however you spell it. If you don't vote then you may as well vote labour, the only way things will change is if you get off your back side and vote for one of the others.
