m greeny
Silosocks from uk shootwarehouse are awsome and light as a feather
guy baxendale
I use a mixture including both FUDs and Sillosocks. FUDs are useless on water so i cut the keels off and just have a spike which saves a fair bit on weight - they pack down neatly and look pretty realistic. Sillosocks are very light obviously and gives so nice movement in a bit of wind. I like them less on still day. They can be bought quite cost effectively in pack from the US also as they are light and come flat packed. As long as your geese aren't super educated you should do fine with either of them
Highlandladdie
Cheers for the replys. I'll check out those sillosocks when I get home. Work internet access doesn't allow gun sites :( Guy, is it easy enough to but from the states? Or do you get hit with import charges etc? guy baxendale
The £ has weakened a lot against the $ recently…..so much so that its probably not worth the hassle particularly if you did get picked up for duty on the way in. guy baxendale
Kevin at Tidepool is doing a dozen Greylag shells for £115 at the moment which is cheaper than FUDs.
happy.plinker
I think the fuds could be a tad bigger, I mix em up with sillos and some plywood ones.Later in the season they become a bit more shy.
Highlandladdie
I think the fuds could be a tad bigger Much smaller than real life size? Kevin at Tidepool is doing a dozen Greylag shells for £115 at the moment which is cheaper than FUDs. Excuse my ignorance but how many would you use in a pattern generally? I was thinking around 6 for a small family group?

Penelope
Flocked to I believe. I recently bought a dozen flocked A1 canadas off a forum user. They'll do the job fine, so I see no reason the greylag ones won't.
