Twistedsanity
Paypal and ebay do offer a guarantee but the issue arises when they say you turned up and took the item you had paid for and you deny collecting it
Gordon R
Get the name of the Estate Agents who are selling the house in question. Quick e-mail to them confirming that it would be vacant possession, as the house is empty. It would strengthen your hand with Paypal. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/estate-agents/agent/Elder-and-Twells/Ilkeston-6302.html#ram This is the estate agent selling 43 Wood Street. Gordon R
Winning bidder on a toolbox and tools on Ebay today. The Britool top box alone is worth the price. There are some decent 5 month old tools in it. Facom screwdrivers - full set, Britool Expert - extensive socket set (includes allen sockets, torx sockets and shallow and deep sockets, large set of Wurth Zebra (German) metric combination spanners. Rang the lad to see when I could pick them up - he said he didn't know. I asked when he would know. He said he didn't know that either, but would let me know. I see a defaulting seller on the not too distant horizon. Edited November 14, 2014 by Gordon R
TIGHTCHOKE
Gordon, two questions 1, why haven't you flagged it up to Ebay yet? 2. Do you really need MORE tools?
Gordon R
Tightchoke - if he doesn't want to sell, I can't force him to do so. His rating is only 1, so bad feedback will hardly hamper him.As for more tools - I don't need any, but always looking for a bargain. I no longer have 53 ratchets and am genuinely trying to cut down.
amateur
Gordon, Surely the reason is that he hasn't nicked the tools from work yet Rang the lad to see when I could pick them up - he said he didn't know. I asked when he would know. He said he didn't know that either, but would let me know.

Gordon R
I think he imagined they would go for more.
