iPad mini really slow to charge

Trouble is chargers have got mixed up and some have packed up. Looking on the bay apple ones are said to charge all models iPad and ipjone

 

Be careful - lots of fakes on eBay.

 

If you run windows, install this driver which will allow your PC's USB port to charge at the higher currents needed for iPad's - and iPhones for that matter.

Mac's will do this automatically.

The I pad mini usually comes with the same charger as an I phone, it basically looks like a 13 amp plug with a USB . The larger I pads come with a larger plug. If you turn it off then plug it in to charge it will turn on, but airplane mode certainly helps speed it up.

Be careful with the over current drivers 500mA is the limit for the USB standard iPads (full size) use 2100mA to charge! The mini charger looks like a 3/4 charger but is different it may be the same as 5/6 charger as these both use the lightening connector but not sure
