aris
You need to use the charger it came with - otherwise it may well be charging at a lower (and slower) current. You can charge at the right current off a PC USB port with a special driver installed too.

Looking on the bay apple ones are said to charge all models iPad and ipjone Be careful - lots of fakes on eBay. If you run windows, install this driver which will allow your PC's USB port to charge at the higher currents needed for iPad's - and iPhones for that matter. http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/ai_charger/ Mac's will do this automatically. 88b
The I pad mini usually comes with the same charger as an I phone, it basically looks like a 13 amp plug with a USB . The larger I pads come with a larger plug. If you turn it off then plug it in to charge it will turn on, but airplane mode certainly helps speed it up. HDAV
Be careful with the over current drivers 500mA is the limit for the USB standard iPads (full size) use 2100mA to charge! The mini charger looks like a 3/4 charger but is different it may be the same as 5/6 charger as these both use the lightening connector but not sure
