HotShot!
Hi all, I am just about to get a hilux in the next couple of weeks. I have a roof mounted lamp ready for it. Do you guys have any other modifications or suggestions? Pictures would be appreciated cheers
digger
What age ? We have one on the farm we modified for winter night shooting but you may not want to try this ! We removed the existing exhaust just before the start of the bed and added a 90 degree bend then put on a massey exhaust that rises just behind the cab. The baffle prevents burns but gives off a surprising amount of warmth. gases vent about 2 ft above cab. doesn't impede swing as you can reach round it. will post pics when I'm next down

al4x
Hi all, I am just about to get a hilux in the next couple of weeks. I have a roof mounted lamp ready for it. Do you guys have any other modifications or suggestions? Pictures would be appreciated cheers If you want to lamp from it I have fitted a ifor Williams canopy and then cut holes for boat hatches, makes it perfect and safe from lamping and even sitting out waiting for foxes. It's not a hilux but would work the same and also means you don't need seats etc on the back

scotslad
I would possibly advise against drilling a great big hole in ur roof unless ur meaning to run it into the ground, will limit ur resale value and market. If ur a keeper and boss's motor go ahead but i wouldn't to my own, well not as new as that anyway U can adapt those roof kits for a suction bar so can go on/come off when needed and no damage
