wymberley
I see that the NGO is getting stuck in on behalf of one of their members. The full story is on their web-site regarding buzzards. I wish them and the 'keeper the best of luck.

Duds
I totally agree, it's all over the NGO Facebook page.
pestcontrol1
I have been with the NGO for around 15-18 years now and have never had any problems with them and they always seem to help when needed
KFC
I shall watch this with interest and wish him luck. A neighbouring shoot to ours lost the first three days because of Buzzards last season. It is all very well reintroducing species but there has to be a level of responsibility on the part of those doing or regulating the reintroduction. Seeing the numbers of Buzzards about now, I do not believe that limited licences, where they are proven to be a problem would greatly affect one species. We shot a load of Rabbits one night last summer and I went to collect them in the morning. I counted 15 Buzzards circling about 10 acres and there were three Buzzards sat on one Rabbit carcass. It's all about balance. I hope he wins.
pboro shot
They need to come up with something there getting to many about for my likeing but unlike the rspb believe we dont all shot birds of prey infact my shoot have encouraged alot of birds od prey including nest boxes etc they take more mice and rats I could ever deal with but the bigger birds ocassionaly do take poults but this will only increase by the look of things
Scully
Have had an email concerning this. The figures for Cormorant and Buzzard numbers is interesting considering licences are issued for the former but not the latter. It's impressive what a good PR programme can achieve.
