NickB65
The horns are about two feet in length from tip to base on average although I have one or two that will make excellent powder horns. Never worked with horn before - cue sarky comments - but think it might prove interesting......

FalconFN
There is a bit info on the web (here is a very basic one http://www.personal.utulsa.edu/~marc-carlson/horn/hornhome.html)but it seems containers, knife and stick handles, spoons and decorative items are pretty much it but there must be other more imaginative uses out there. Have fun. Edit: Ha, too slow! Edited December 14, 2014 by FalconFN
crowdie2013
I was offered all the horns from about 30 odd yearling highland bullocks that were dehorned and in turn had offered the horns to a crook maker but was told that they were too soft on yearling cattle. A couple of guys on my shoot have sticks with horns on them and they look really good.

NickB65
Well these horns do not shed their sheath so are solid - it seems these horns have an artery that runs the length so the outset does not shed...... Powered horns now may be a little harder but I am determined to make good use of them esp as I have just been given a second set which are amazing in shape, condition and length..... ben0850
Mounted on a back board or an upright could make a decent hat / coat rack or stand. I've seen it done with Antlers before and looked pretty good.
