treetree
Hi Is it worth leaving out a dead rabbit to draw crows etc near to the hide? Many thanks Edited December 21, 2014 by treetree
kaunda
Tear it's guts out and leave the whole bloody mess in an obvious position near a sitty tree but not too near the hide. And keep still.
WelshMike
I have tried the dead rabbit the last couple of times I have been out but havent really seen any results yet. I made sure I dropped the guts out and stuck a couple of decoys around the rabbit. I will try a few more times as others have had good results using this tactic. steve_b_wales
Put marble's in the eye sockets, it will make them glisten and this is what Crows like to attack first.

sako751sg
For sure.Doesnt have to be a rabbit but whatever it is rip it open and pull the puds oot a bit and they find this pretty hard to resist. A couple of crow/magpie deeks close by will help, but the best of all is a fox decoy. Dont think i have ever had a corvid go straight past and away when ive had the fox oot. Steve dose your reed in your promos jam mine does it nearly all the time I have two Primos callers with me when I'm out corvid shooting. One does get 'jammed' sometimes, usually through spittle on the reed. I tend to switch to the other one and shake the jammed one, or leave it for awhile. It works after that.
