AberFowl
I just bought a car off a good friend of myne who buys and sells the odd car. He hasn't received the v5 back yet so only has the new keeper bit with his details on..he has written me a receipt though and will give me the v5 to fill in as soon he gets it. I understand a car isn't taxed when sold now..so how do i tax it? Need it for tomorrow ideally.

Davyo
I personally like the new system did my wife's car mid Dec as tax was due at the end of the Dec so I also done mine on the same day as the shooting bus runs out end of Jan (5 mins online) .Confirmation email to state taxed and monies will not be removed from account till tax due, that was confirmed on 31/12/14 when they took the £20 annual amount for my wife's car. I did this a few months ago for my new car.
