steveyg
Got lucky today on the first drive of the day,got allocated a cracking peg in the wood on the best drive of the shoot. The adrenalin was building as I could hear the beaters approaching first bird flushed and had a 2 second window to hit it....dropped like a lead ball on. While loading another four came over..next one came fast to my left...again really enjoyed the shot, next one straight at me..no 3 on the deck, next one high right...thud hit the ground hard, finished with six from 10 shots. Had the biggest grin on my face, two guys came up to me and congratulated me on my shooting...which I really appreciated. Next two drives were not so kind finished with 9. Well done, Steve. matty they shout over so the guns know to be aware that birds are flying to guns , nothing worse than being stood chatting and birds are pouring over your head. Atb ezi . Atb ezi . Guns should be ready to shoot the birds, as that is what they are there to do. If you need someone to shout to tell you there are birds approaching, then maybe you need glasses or need to concentrate more. The guns can surely chat away between drives. leadbreakfast
We shout over and the birds still go over without being shot at, Then you get the excuses oh my safety was on or couldn't see from the sun
