Spiro gear was always highly regarded when I was diving, although this was some 30 years ago now. These are actually the same sort of gear that I was using, so they could be that old.

BSAC or PADI may have web forums, so exercise your Google-fu.

Also, have a look at the last test date stamped on the neck of the bottle in the ABLJ (Adjustable Buoyancy Life Jacket). That should give you an idea of age.

Blimey I've not seen or used an ABLJ like that for many moons.as Rupert says the horse collar is no longer used,as technogly has moved on to safer devices also the bladder inside is a type of plastic bag which I would imagine has become brittle with age and certainly I wouldn't dream of using or selling on as fit for use, last used one of the horse collars in the late 90s on a job in Saudi.

The Reg is a very old model in its day it was one of the best you could buy, again although a simple mechanism this also probably needs a good inspection and service before use, that's if you can find a scuba shop who would be happy to service the Spiro reg.

Please if you do put it on evil bay post it as in need of servicing or display only as these 2 items are classed as life support equipment, and if some numpty buys it and decides to use it without the correct training and equipment servicing it could open a whole world of pain for you.

Regards

SR.

Can the A clamp (if it is an A clamp?) Be converted for use with a PCP rig? May be useful for someone on here if so.

I did padi open water 20 years ago and I can't remember a thing anymore.

yes but only on a 200bar "A" clamp cylinder. (i think if you unscrew the pressure gauge, this hose will have the correct adapter on the end of the hose for a PCP)
