Mentalmac
It is rude, even if you have a genuine reason then you should at least text or get the paramedic to text lol. Different industry entirely, but my friend is a recruitment consultant, and he had a job interview lined up for a chap, a long time back now, who didn't show at the interview. My friend was very angry as he seemed such a good lad and desperate to get into employment since leaving the marines... A few days later he got a phone call from this chap, he was on his way to the interview on the London Underground when he saw a chap grab this woman's handbag and run off, so he gave chase but the robber whilst fleeing tripped and fell infront of moving tube and died... so he was arrested until they sorted it all out Back on topic, welldone chaps for taking people out with you, it's a great chance for others to see the experts in action and have a go, and don't let a minority let down the majority. Muddy Funker
Perhaps he's dead or seriously ill in hospital ! Yeah some members here are quick to want to lynch people. The sensible thing to do is find out the reason why he didn't call if it bothers you. Then if the reason isn't up to your satisfaction he can be hung drawn and quartered/shot at dawn ect. Browning 425 clay hunter
Unless the chap did die/end up in hospital (unlikely) the reality is he couldn't attend but couldn't be bothered to at least ring and explain his absence. He could be taking other members up on their generous offers and denying genuine people the chance to get out in the future. He's had time to offer an explanation, how would the op feel if he does this to others and he could of stopped it. This isn't a witch hunt, just a thread warning others of a time waster IMO. belly47
I live near the OP and have thought about replying to his requests for shooters but have held back a bit as I do have my own permissions and have not been able to make the days on offer. I kind of felt that I should let people without permissions have a go, but now after reading that he has been let down it makes you wonder what these people reasons are for not showing. so im offering my services officially, im not the best shot in the world but have all equipment and would turn up if I said I was going to, that's for definite. leadbreakfast
I filled a day on my shoot off here out of eight people coming one turned up and four canceled the night before, leaving me to fill it with friends and beaters so after the cost of the lunch In the pub and paying beaters I was -£120 for providing a days shooting. But didn't put me off and will ask again this year.
