Tim Kelly
Get a landcruiser, either the colorado type or the full size and don't even look back.
bostonmick
if you take the basc deal you get over 4k off a new invincible.i believe it is the best deal of all the manufacturers.and you wont get a better truck.
Squirrel73
I drive a 61 plate defender 130. It does a lot of towing which it is good at but there are too many bad points with this motor. New engine @51k,transfer box @55k,rear diff & half shafts @61k. Yesterday the turbo went on it @68k. I wouldn't spend my money on anything but a landrover and I have drove them for 27 years. Would or Wouldn't? If I'd had a run like that with a 5 year old car I don't think I'd be raring to get another one!

al4x
The thing is with a few of the new pickups you can run to 5 years and they will be under warranty. If you work them hard that's a serious bonus.
Vince Green
I haven't any personal experience but the D Max seems to be getting a following.

new shot
A mate of mine - who runs a Defender - had a test drive in the Volkswagen. He said it was under-powered and had an agricultural gearbox. Another had the full range of 4 x 4s and now has the latest Isuzu pickup. He thinks it is brilliant. My Amarok's gearbox went again today 2nd problem with it in one year.. It's 8 speed auto version..I would look at isuzu or new Navarro next time which will be next year..
