Billy.
Your hand is the cheapest fox caller you can get. Either squeak with your mouth, or rub polystyrene on the car windscreen.

Been there but it's no where near the same. My mates use one but at £150 it's to much
mad1
Yeah I'm still out and about ... We will catch up at the catton weekend :-)
Underdog
£35 on eBay. I did not think it would work but first time it did and no I did not get the fox, due to my doubting attitude! It has no remote control though but will run continuously if you place it away from you. U.
Harry Callahan
Underdog how are you getting on with that caller? Have seen them listed a few times and fancy getting one - whats the best calls on it for foxing?
Underdog
Not had any luck lately. Think that's due to my local charlies being a bit educated! U.
Harry Callahan
Its either between the one youve got or the ICOtec GC101 at £50... anyone know what sort of distance does the sound travels with these things? The more expensive ones have a good range but i likes a bargain!!
Underdog
Depends on the wind!
Harry Callahan
I decided to buy the ICOtec GC101 instead... it came today. Seems pretty good for the price (but this is my first caller so what do i know?). Weather is pretty good here and i know theres some young foxes ranging about so might take it out tonight and see what happens!

Harry Callahan
Ah well no luck last night. The site i had wanted to use, the cattle were occupying so i left them be and went to another area i usually have luck sitting out but the wind wasnt ideal and no show - maybe i used the wrong call... How long do you guys use a call for at a time? I left it running maybe 10 mins then stopped it for a few mins before starting it again... was there for an hour. Also would you pick 1 call and stick to it, or change after a while?
Underdog
I just let it run through them all. They not magic wands. A lot of things have to come together still so to speak .
Harry Callahan
Aye. Weathers looking decent for tomorrow night so will try again... Will let you all know how it goes.
Bewsher500
got a spare phone? get a £5 PAYG sim, set the ring tone to the call and stick it out in the field (turn off voicemail) never uses call minutes as it never connects
Redditch
The ICOTEC range are fantastic for the money, especially the GC500, but if you can't afford that one, get the GC350 Takes standard MP3 calls so you can download those anywhere. Difference is, the GC350 has a 12/12 (24 total) call system on an A/B switch, and no display on the remote, and no ext decoy port. The GC500 has an LCD backlit display, 200 calls, and the ext decoy port, plus an external speaker port too. Remote range is about 300 yards. Available from UK Best Fox Call (Rob Crampton) and excellent back up service. If you ask him nicely heaven almost fills the SD card with calls for you
Harry Callahan
Well didnt get out over weekend, Fri night was stupid thick fog here and i was in the pub Sat night... will try again this coming weekend and see how it goes. Iv nothing to compare my ICOtec to but im impressed with it - even if it is the cheapest model the do. Ofcourse, if i never get Charlie with it itl be useless!... (but thatl more likely be my fault rather as the callers).
