Finnaly drew blood...

I was stalking round the clock on some new bits of ground i picked up recently hoping to christianise my new R8.

Last week i couldn't get a shot at the fallow due to thick cover , i had a muntjac doe walking around 20 yards away but are scarce in those parts of the world so didn't pulled the trigger.

Yesterday i was stalking a woodland and again the cover was very thick, decided to wait on the edge, next to a field, and eventually a small herd, about 12-14 fallow came out in the open, run past me and stopped on the other side, with the farm buildings in the background... another frustrating situation...

Today i was invited by a friend on his ground, and as soon as we pulled over, we saw a herd of about 250 heads sitting in the middle of a big field. I managed to stalk to about 200 meters when wind changed and the herd started to move, i set up on the sticks and took the shot at the very last doe. It was dead before it hit the ground. Well pleased with the shot, dragged the beast to the truck and moved to another field, in the high seat. As soon as i climbed in the seat a few does came out from the wood at about 100 meters to my right... a nice way to end a brilliant morning!

Well done i see no mod on your rifle you prefer it that way

Thanks! I prefer it without mod, doesn't bother me. The rifle, as you can see, has iron sights, adding a mod to with will make it look rubbish, affect the balance and denies the take-down compact rifle concept, adding lenght to it.
