nderfel
yesterday saw me take the 6 hour round trip up to the pheasant syndicate in Sussex to join the annual vermin clear up day, always a cracking day with good laughs and some good sport guaranteed. I think I enjoy squirrel bashing more than pheasant shooting if I'm honest.... We had a bumper day yesterday with somewhere around 50 tree rats shot plus a fox who was in the wrong place at the wrong time or the right place at the right time depending on which end of the shotgun you were! it was a windy day and quite chilly which kept the squirrels in their drays, a walk right round the farm and a shot into each dray had them bolting and gave us some cracking sport. Some really big squirrels, grown fat on all our pheasant feed. Apologies for all the photos, hope you enjoy one very handsome chap, in a very silly hat.... whilst we were pushing through a wood several of us waited at the other end in case we flushed any foxes. I had seen a hole in the chicken wire fence that looked like a fox run so thought I'd position myself near that, just as I was wandering up a big old fox shot through and off '****! ' I thought after arriving 30 seconds too late, about a minute later his mate shot through the same gap, this time I was waiting and a dose of number 4 sorted him out. The photo shows the gap in the chicken wire in between bolting foxes Later on found the remains of this poor animal stuck in an out of the way boundary fence, not a nice way to go

nderfel
Thanks all, the dog isn't mine, unfortunately but he is fantastic, a cracking shooting companion and not as mental as a springer!
FOXHUNTER1
Rather shoot squirrels as pheasants any day mate....
