Scully
Ironically I ripped my Laksen trousers at the weekend while climbing over a barbed wire fence to build a stile in order to prevent such things. It's only a small rip about an inch long and fortunately doesn't include the inner waterproof membrane. I need a good glue to stick a patch over it which will completely seal the edges and prevent water ingress. What have you used in the past and what would you recommend? As far as I'm aware superglue wont stand up to much water. Cheers.
steve_b_wales
Wonderweb is good stuff. Just place some between the layers that need fixing, place a damp cloth over it ans use a hot iron. The glue will melt and bond most materials. I have use it to make a hem on my jeans. I'm not sure about sealing the edges though.

Suffolkngood
Use Aquasure. I put a smal tear in my Barbour Cordura Jacket. Made a nice neat template out of a sticky label ( cut a neat oblong hole in the label just bigger than the tear) stuck it over the tear and applied Aquasure. Then peeled off the label and all unwanted Aquasure leaving a very neat, strong and waterproof repair.
panoma1
What about the tape they use to seal the seams on Gore-Tex clothing?
grrclark
Do a google for Stormsure flexible fabric glue, it is popular amongst the water sport fraternity. Edit: Should have looked at Aga Man's link first before I posted this. Edited March 31, 2015 by grrclark
