Tam
Any where in Cumbria/North England that allows non cert holders on a sporting claymate type system???
Scully
I don't know what a 'clay mate system' is, but there are one or two clubs in Cumbria. Greystoke, near Penrith. Bowscar near penrith. Crabtree just off the M6 turn off for Kirkby Lonsdale. There are many more smaller ones but I don't think they advertise. Heard Shap had reopened theirs but not sure. shaun4860
What is it your after Tam, Just somewhere to turn up and shoot, Or give someone a lesson or 2?
Tam
Group of us green laning on May bank holiday weekend & thought we might have a go at clays but we have some non certificate holders. At North Ayrshire we just sign in the non cert holders & use the claymate system So basicly - a group lesson/have a go - not looking for corporate day 😎
BlaserF3
Crabtree is the best bet, they loan guns out too.
Tam
Got guns, that's no issue & there will be a couple of certificate holders there
Scully
Crabtree is the best bet, they loan guns out too. Yep, definitely your best bet. Now the clocks have changed they may be open Wednesday evenings also. Loads of traps and a good layout.

Crabtree have always shot on a Wenesday, even in winter, they shoot a compak type layout under floodlights.

100milesaway
Yes a vote here for Crabtree as well, They also have a decent website. A very friendly family setup but you will still get some testing targets.. The pies on a sat are brilliant, so don't forget to order them before you go. from Auntie. Scully
Crabtrees the best bet greystoke not on and shap dident no it had started again was a good shoot meany years ago Unfortunately I don't think Shap has re-opened. I think the rumour was started as one of the former members was talking about re-opening, but having just talked today to someone who knows him well it would seem it didn't get off the ground which is great shame. When it was behind Shap Wells it was a grand little sunday morning chill out. On the 26th (?) of this month I think there is a five man team comp' at Crabtree. Have been trying to get a team together from our rough shoot syndicate but it's a struggle as only two of us are willing to make fools of ourselves to compete. We'll see.
