Decoying on fresh pea drillings

Tried out the fresh pea drilling this weekend found the birds were not keen to decoy and shot most flying over the pattern.

Not sure why the birds won't decoy as they usually will this time of year ?

Picked up 20 and pricked a few more

Hope to get a few more when they start to sprout.....

Not a big bag but nice to get out and be in the fresh spring air !

Had a few Deer creep up on me too.....

Well done mate :good: 20 birds is a nice bag  was you using a 12g or 20g ? BB

Hi BB

Was using my 12g XXV AYA sxs luvly little gun ideal for a hide

I've had some corking long and high birds with this gun

I laugh when people criticise range with a 25 inch gun saying its not up to the mark .. its not the case at all and perfectly capable of bringing down birds at most ranges !

HI PC

Yes i hope this might be a more fruitful year on the peas as last year was dreadful

A bright start this year !

We have a different crop this year so fingersXd .......

We have 87 acres on one large field which could be interesting but a fair bit of cover so can make up quite a few nice hides if they change there flight lines?

Cheers
