and i have to say they wernt half bad!

Shot with my newly acquired pump action shotty (cheers caplock it works a treat :/ ),

Blew the dust off a very old looking mincer (never thought I would ever use Blew, Off and Mincer in the same sentence :D ) and put four tender bunnies through it with a bit of bacon fat. Mixed with some herbs, chilli, bred crumbs and egg produced some darn good burgers, served with some home made leek cheese and new spuds, now that was a nice meal!!

No offence but puke.gifpuke.gifpuke.gifpuke.gifpuke.gif Ill leave eating bunnies to the snakes!!!!

really?!?!?

i think bunnies are the best meat around at the moment just when they are about a foot long nice and tender, normally I would just fry them with a touch of butter and some garlic :/ but these had a tad too many holes in so i thought i would try somthing new!

We tried them aswell at the farm, were amazing. Did crumble a fair bit, but tasted marvellous with Hellmans mayo, but then again what doesnt.

Alex

Try putting currents in it next time, oh and i think we put rosemary in it aswell, not sure, did it years ago, but sure they did taste good. :D

:D:/ Nothing personal, if i had some ready prepared i probably woulld try them, its a bit like fishing, if I have a good day out in the boat and have to fillet cod and pollack for hours when I get home, you know that even after you have bleached the draining board and sink that you are going to smell fish for days........i just cant touch fish for weeks!!!

Same with bunnies if I had to gut them and prepare them i couldnt eat them, at least if im feeding them to the snakes i dont have to gut them!!!!! :/

that looks really good. Did they bind together ok or fall apart ? also looking at the pics they started off huge and ended up tiny, did they shrink that much or is the plate a different size ?

yer they binded together fine, left them in the fridge over night which i think helps,

they were indeed different plates, didnt shrink all that much very pleased with them,

bring on the hot sunny evenings, bunny burgers on the bbq and a nice cold beer to hand :P

Bunny burger sounds good, but the ones I've tried to make always fall to bits so I bought a sausage machine! I may have to try again sometime, they do look tasty. The leek cheese is new on me aswell, I've got loads in the garden to use up so I may just copy that bit later. I assume it's just leeks in cheese sauce, we'll soon see!
