Gonna Shoot a Wabbit
Dear pigeonwatchers. A couple of months ago i commisioned a local artist to do a portrait of my old black lab who is hopefully chasing mallard and pheasants wherever good gundogs go and her daughter who is currently still driving me nuts. I am so pleased with it i wanted to share it with all those of you whose shooting companions are no longer here to run around the house when they hear the gunlocker keys jangling. If anyone is interested in getting any work done if you drop me a p.m. i will put you in touch with him. He works in oil painting like mine, watercolours and pencil. His prices significantly beat gallery prices. All the best Ade

yates
That's a lovely picture What a great way to treasure your memories with your loved ones ! The artist should earn a good living with his skills in art, well done I agree that he should make a good living. My wife bought me an original painting of a black lab for my 50th earlier year by an artist called John Tricket that cost over £3,500. Old Boggy
Lovely picture, and what a great way to remember the older dog and all the adventures you both had, and are still to have with her daughter. I am currently looking at a painting of my old springer, now in her happy hunting ground, painted by a local artist Terence Macklin, who captured her every expression. These dog artists are something else. Labs are born half trained, springers die half trained - Whoever said that was spot on !
