Tony Morris
Remington 1100 Magnums are available with a 3 inch chambered barrel but are made for using Magnum cartridges so are unlikely to cycle clay loads and light game loads. You can fit a 'normal' 1100 barrel with 2.75 inch chamber to the Magnum and it should then fire the more 'normal' loads. Remington 11-87's have been made in 3 inch and in 2.75 inch, I think the action is the same but the barrel is different, there are also 'normal' barrels and target barrels which have different profiles, they will interchange but the forend might not fit Target barrels are normally marked Target. Whatever you do when swapping things about please be very carefull and if in any doubt do not do it, we do not need anyone hurt. If you have questions please ask, I do not know all of the answers but I do have a mate who knows more than I do so between us we may know. Tony.
