Thanks mate, I'm not at all sure what to paint it with, I did think just gloss house paint, but, no idea how that would last..whatever i get, I'll just be using a brush to apply it.... humperdingle
Ok, he says he has a 2.5l tin of nato green for free if you can collect. Been on shelf for a while, though Otherwise, he buys from seller 'epaintbay' on fleabay or says to google 'Marcus Glenn'. Salop Sniper did his (on here) looks pretty good. Suffolkngood
Davyo used nato green on his Vitara. Applied it with a roller. Apparently, he never used to wash it...............he just gave it another coat when it got dirty

loriusgarrulus
I buy paint for my Defender Wolf from these. The price on the tin includes P&P. http://www.militaryvehiclepaint.co.uk/index.php
Chris Bb
Google a company called Autopaint. They make a synthetic paint sutable for brushing and can do any colour in matt or gloss. It goes on easily, dries to a smooth finish and lasts. No connection, just a satisfied customer, used to use it on my ex military LR. Davyo
I painted the GV with nato green, it was mint & easy to do, did not thin paint down or anything. The key is to prep well(still quick and easy) i just removed stuff like rear lights & rubbed it down lightly(if metalic you are just removing the shine)only tkeas an hour of so.The worst bit is masking up after it was wiped with tack rags.Used a 5 inch radiator roller & a 1inch brush for cutting in.Whole car painted within 2 hrs, let it dry over night & apply a second coat.Really hard wearing stuff,i used to scrape down hedges and it never came off (even been in a ditch of two) When i sold it i just brushed the mud off & went over it with a roller (20mins max). Will stick a pic on later as at work at the mo. Jay_Russell
From memory the irr paint was applied seperatly. I recall seeing many warning stickers on various bits of kit about the dangers of items that had freshly applied irr paint.

The danger is you can't find it,and might explain why I kept putting it in a ditch lol
