Danger-Mouse
If anyone fancies some midweek shooting there`s DTL and Double trap on at Sycamore shooting ground every Wednesday night. Starts around 6pm, cost is £10 for a round of each. I`m there most weeks so say hi if you come along. I`ll be the one keeping score on the DTL. Beginners welcome and if you haven`t got your own gun don`t worry someone will loan you one.

Danger-Mouse
Might try get to this one evening. Never had a go at DTL mainly shot sporting in past. Give it a whirl James. It`s different but enjoyable. Just one piece of advice, even on a warm day, bring a decent coat, it`s very exposed up there and can get bloody cold. Would be great if they do, is it easy to find. Thanks a lot David Hi David, yeah they have a DT layout. The ground can be a little awkward to find, my sat nav gets me near but not actually there. The ground is high up on the hills, the thing to look out for is a large transmission mast, if you can see that then you`ll probably be able to see cars parked nearby. Cheers will make sure ones in the car. Can you plastic or is it fibre only? Plastic is fine.

James1983
Went over to sycamore tonight and really enjoyed it. Was my first ever go at DTL and DT as only ever shot sporting before. My first attempt at DTL caught me out a few times and only managed a 12. Then moved over to DT was playing about trying to figure out which one was best to shoot first did manage a 5 but think it was more luck than anything. Ended up with a score of 15 on first attempt. As the weather was nice decided to do another round (shh the Mrs thinks I did one and spent most of time chatting!!) managed to improve on my DTL and got 18 which I was happy with. Had a good start to the round but ended up missing a few towards the end. Then moved onto DT again but by now the sun was coming down and one of the clays was right in the Suns line so made it tricky to see. Tried a few different things again and managed a 14 this time. Some improvement to do on DT but will come with a bit of practice. Had a good time and when got there met DM (nice to put face to name) Looking forward to our get together on 25th

Danger-Mouse
Just a quick note to keep people informed. There will no longer be a Wed. night shoot at Sycamore. Instead there is a 50 bird sporting on Tuesday nights (£10) and the DTL will also be on on Tues. for anyone that is interested.
