Bewsher500
depends some old weavers are very high quality the target versions can go for £3-400 the newer cheaper ones are less desirable

Anybody intelligent know what these scopes are like?? Weaver made in Japan is very good to excellent. The K and V series, which created the 1" tube standard, have been rebranded as Classic. The Grand Slam, Super Slam, etc are newer ranges brought out in the last decade and a half. The older steel scopes made in the U.S.A are definitely showing their age. I cannot comment on the Philippines made scopes such as Kaspa and 40/44, except to say that they are listed below the Classic scopes and are probably more akin to Bushnell Banner scopes. Les*1066
I've got a Weaver T36 on one of my target rifles and it's excellent - I don't know about any of the other models, but I'd imagine that they're just as good.

T series, Grand Slam, Super Slam and current tactical scopes all have Micro-Trac adjustments but even the Classic series have very good adjustments. Marksman1997
I just assumed all scopes that come with guns when you buy them would be fairly cheap. The rifle in question is Savage 93r17 (17hmr) came with mod & scope for under £600. Checked weaver scope prices and they are like $600.??
