Cranfield
Lurcherboy and I went to the Kent Game Fair on Saturday and thought it was well worth the visit. There could have been more outdoor exhibits, but I suppose when you arrange a Show for the end of March, its best to have as much indoors as possible. Most of the stands and exhibitions had a country theme and I didn't see a replacement windows setup anywhere. We met Paul Hart, who is is a very nice man, although I can't understand why nobody has ever mentioned Mrs Hart, who I thought was even nicer than Paul. LB was spending money like only a self employed person can and I bought a lightweight jacket, some smoked cheese and a new hat. I tend to buy a hat at every Show I go to, one day I will buy one that actually suits me. We ate country pies while watching a game cooking exhibition and kept bumping into people that knew LB, interestingly most were pleased to see him. All in all, a good day out, thanks to the generosity of that nice bloke Paul Hart.

Althoough now based on the new reports (last time people slated it a lot!) I think I shall definately go next year.

Axe
Parham is a very good show. The setting is idealic and offers a great day out for all the family. I'm definitely going this year. Unfortunatelt couldnt make Kent as I had to work this weekend. Thanks to Paul Hart for the tickets, I donated them to a friend.

steve b
I went to the game fair for the first time this year and had a really nice time. The game cookery demo was excellent, they cooked with rabbit and pigeon as well as demonstrating how to bone a leg of freshly shot venison as well as skinning a rabbit. All in all an excellent day out although my only purchases were a pork roll and a rosemary plant. (spent all my money on the sako .17 I am picking up next week)
Dr W
Anyone know where I can get advance tickets for Parham or do you just get them on the day?

Cranfield
They are usually easy to do in a day. However, its worth checking out the programme because there may be a display, exhibition, or speaker, that is only there on one of the days.
