welshruger
I have tried to zero a new scope on my brothers .22 Gunpower Stealth, he thought it was his scope so he bought a new one, but the same problem. The rifle shots very erratic groups, I have cleaned the bore this did improve but it is still shooting very erractically. I had clamped the gun in a workmate and this how I found out it was shooting so erratically. Can anyone out there can give me some suggestions. Thanks
pin
Might be something in this http://alpinetek.netfirms.com/guns/talon/stealthtuning/ Mate of mine had one, I printed that out for him and he's reigned the groups in a fair bit using some of the info
Lord Geordie
If the gun is clamped in a bench then it's fair to say it's the gun rather than the scope! What is the crown like on the barrel? A badly finished crown or DAMAGED crown can cause erratic groups. Is this WITH silencer or without? Also IF without is it with the end cap on? I find the end cap causes a vortex which when it gets behind the pellet send it off on a crusade. If with the end cap on try removing the end cap and try again and also if with silencer again try without! A lot of Stealths have a problem with their valves and the consistency of the Delrin hammer to open the valve to the same point for each shot hence a LOT of people tweaking the stealth. Also some people GREASE the hammer (big mistake) it causes DRAG and affects the hammer. If you want to lube the hammer then use a DRY lube. Also an Alloy hammer (a little heavier than the delrin) and more preload on the spring can help but this will need to you reset the tophat. There is a Site dedicated to Stealths etc www.talonownersgroup.com You should find everything you need on there. LG
monkeyjaimz
Just a thought, but have you tried differant pellets through the rifle? Just that I get pellet on pellet with my falcon at 30 yrds using barracuda's but when I tried other pellets like say AA Hunters for example - target looked like swiss cheese, just my 2p worth. hope it helps

SNAKEBITE
Is this WITH silencer or without? Don't forget to check if it is clipping the silencer. me and my lamping partner bought a stealth each, now his shot nice tight groups at 30 yards but mine was pants i couldnt get consistent grouping at all Just because the rifles are the same does not mean the barrels are identical. Yours might need different pellets as mentioned by monkeyjaimz.

Lefty gunz
Good advise above mate, I had a stealth that was fantasticaally accurate for about 6 months. It wasnt fussy on pelletts either. Anyway, the tophat on mine shook itself loose eventually and the accuracy went to pot, when i removed the valve i also found that the pre-tention spring inside the valve had undone itself aswell. Worth having a look at both.
naddan28
Stealths do come with a lifetime gurantee so you could always send it back to Gunpower in ashford, Kent.
