JDog
We have loved North Norfolk so much we have extended our stay. This morning quite early I had a barn owl and a marsh harrier both fly within 15metres of the dogs and I. We then walked from Holkham to Wells and back along the beach. On a sunny summers day I cannot imagine a better place to be. This evening I am near Bircham watching someone shooting pigeons. He is in the wrong field. Two fields away there is a field which looks like the remnants of a conservation area. It has groundsel, evening primrose, Ox eye daisy and fat hen in it and a feeding group of one hundred pigeons and a continuous line in. Talk about a 'bus mans holiday'. I am glad the weather has improved and your enjoying your stay on the North Norfolk coast . as you say it hard to find somewhere better on a summers day , mind you if your into bird watching even on a winters day there is a abundance of bird life, mainly wildfowl . well worth a visit . Another nice walk Mr JDog is driving down to Blakeney ( or jump on the coast hopper bus ) and walk from the harbour out on the right towards the point , then follow the foot path to Cley , stop off at the new visitors centre at N W T , have refreshments , then make your way back through Cley back to Blakney. ...Well worth the effort and who knows you might want to extend your stay once again .
