oldypigeonpopper
hello, just to ask what members use on a .22 LR ? would a T38 get the distance required or maybe a T50 red/white lamp? my photon mk1 is set up for rat shooting with my sub 12 vermy air rifle so i want to leave and go with a good torch. getting the new Hawke rimfire scope. all this depends on my interview monday but i am hopefull all will go ok. cheers
r1steele
T38 is more than enough for rimfire ranges. I would personally go for the red LED. You can spot eyes at a fair distance and see rabbits beyond 100 yards with the T38.

Luckyshot
thanks i have a T38 red led so will give this a go first. Every where is different, I can lamp rabbits on my permission with white led (cheap ebay torch) even though I have shot it for over 10 year and the rabbits will just sit and wait to be shot. welshwarrior
It will depend on your scope and the range I use a 501b to 100 yards happily with a S&B 8x56 but can't quite get as far with the 6x42 but with my t67 can see to 250 easily. team tractor
When shooting my hmr with Colin lad off here he was using a t20 for me to shoot 100 yard bunny. I admit I struggled like hell to see them in my hawke sport hd 4-12x50 but I managed 15 for 18 shots . I have a t67 but that's because I like to see past where I'm shooting
ghosthunter
I built a night vision outfit and fit it to my gun when im ready.. I can see 150 yards easily with a t38 (80 yard shot but bigger objects like sheep or people stand out easily to 150 so you can ensure a safe shot).
