viking
Sorry but I'm going to need a detailed explanation of what's been said here as I'm not understanding any of it. Or what exactly your wanting pictures of. Engines are seriously not my thing
ditchman
the "valley" is the "dip" between where the valves go......................if you trawl thro my rubbish on the cylinder head section you will see where my 1st cylinder head had to be thrown away cause of the cracking in that area...have a look back and see ...your head is proberly the same design as mine... viking
Your rite there ditchie. I'm loving cleaning bits and bats. And I'm hoping it will be easier cleaning the engine up when it's on the stand.
viking
Well Iv just done something I told my self I wasn't going to do, Iv toted up what Iv spent so far. For everything. Land Rover. Delivery. All new parts, labour (not mine) paints thinners primer a fear tools, everything. And thinking of what Iv still to do/spend I'm a little concerned. Total so far is £7211. And I still need to pay for it to be sprayed. Around £3000 At a guess I'd say parts and labour and a few other bits like galvanising. Seats being cleaned. Engine and gearbox. £1500 New wheels and tyres £750 New head lining and window surrounds rough guess £500 Maybe another £5000-£6000. It's going to stand me at around £13.000 when its all done. I was hoping for around the £10.000 when I first started. But some of the prices Iv seen lately of between £12.500 and £20.000 I will just have to keep my fingers crossed. viking
Cheers mick. I always said I wasn't bothered how much it cost as long as I made a good job of it. And I'm sure I will. And it will be even more of a pleasure to get it outside and work on it when the weather is better, and I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end👍 Edited February 23, 2016 by viking
