viking
Pwda shuttle Valve for Dual Brake System. The basic structure of a shuttle valve is like a tube with three openings; one on each end, and one in the middle. A ball or other blocking valve element moves freely within the tube. When pressure from a fluid is exerted through an opening on one end it pushes the ball towards the opposite end. This prevents the fluid from traveling through that opening, but allows it to flow through the middle opening. In this way two different sources can provide pressure without the threat of back flow from one source to the other. £150 genuine £90 copy, clean up, £ free Edited March 1, 2016 by viking

ditchman
you can re-build the master cylinder......clean it up and put new seals in it...cheap and effective fix.....just make sure the cylinder bore is in good nick ...no rust spots etc to wear away the new seals... maybe try and get hold of some brake fluid resitant paint to finish it off... Paul223
Hmmmmm the master cylinder is the single most important part on the whole vehicle, look at your costs so far, why would you not want to spend a tiny fraction of that and fit a new OE unit, doesn't have to be genuine Landrover, Delphi (Lucas girling) will be the original equipment supplier, don't use cheap parts in this area. viking
Good point chaps. I was going to buy one at there only £45. And even if I could get a new reservoir it would probably be £20. This is why I need you guys to keep me in check.👍 Edited March 2, 2016 by viking

ditchman
when it comes to putting in place brake lines....it might be cheaper if you buy a roll of copper pipe and a flaring tool and do it yourself.......cut a few short pieces of tube off and practice doing the forming and flaring....its very easy just a thought
