im now putting a square fog ligh on the back where the square reverse light is, now my choices are to put a square reverse light on the other side, or put in 1 or 2 round one where they are in the picture, i say 1 or 2 as there isnt a hole on the O/S as it was a new panel, so its drill another hole, or cover the other hole up some how, have round ones or square ones

strange that the indicators are so low down on this one,

and i cant find any round ones anywhere, i tried a front side light in the hole in the back but it wouldn't go through, and the ones in the pictures look a little bigger, would the front side lights do or wouldn't they work

love that galvanised furniture........... :good::good: that air rivert gun has done the job.........

those lenses are quite cheap at a quid each...i replace mine every 3 years as they loose colour

when you do the number plate use a pressed aluminium plate in black and white........

yes i just need to find a larger one really, that ones ok but not perfect, and i was thinking about the black and white reg but i read somewhere they have to be a certain amount of years old to have one of them on :hmm::hmm:

i think due to your landys age it qualifies..........it is quite possible that when first sold it would have had a black and white one...im sure in that year ,vehicles were being sold with those plates.............

i have a friend who is very high up in the old bill and has said off record that if oldish landies are running around sort of 25-30 years old and have those plates it would be a waste of time stopping them as they have better things to do...and the law is a bit vague on the issue as well...and the average bobby wouldnt have a clue on that issue....only a died in the wool rivet counting anal traffic cop would know.........

As far as I know it is only pre 1973 registered vehicles that can sport white on black number plates, and then only if they have not worn reflectives, but as you say, you would have to be an anally retentive rivet counter to know.

ps, Are those the correct form period rivets?

think i have found the answer............

as AMATEUR says above....for pre 1973...application must be made to DVLA to sport aluminium black and white plates

but.............any vehicle can use black and white plates .....PROVIDING THAT THEY ARE REFLECTIVE 3D LETTERING AND BACKGROUND

that is according to the DVLA website as stated in a sub section.............just hope i read it right...
