Fuji Shooter
Is that one of the Paddocks cheap ones? I think I paid about £30 for mine from them and got the local garage to stick it on for a £5.

fruitloop
viking you have put the bent plate item nu 139715 on the rubber the wrong place. it acts like a washer not a spacer to stop the bolts pulling through the rubber and you sandwich it between the 2 steel plates .hope that helps.. viking
Your getting spoilt using all them new parts Lee its great isnt it viking you have put the bent plate item nu 139715 on the rubber the wrong place. it acts like a washer not a spacer to stop the bolts pulling through the rubber and you sandwich it between the 2 steel plates .hope that helps.. cheers mate, it all looked funny in the book, there is a big plate washer behind what you can see, but in the book it did only show one on there, and on the rear one it looked like it was showing some bits neither of the new kits iv got had any of im sure my mate will know where iv gone wrong when he looks at it, and in between the holes on the rubber bit it had 2 small tubular inserts thats i presumed would stop the bolts pulling through, why cant the just sell them already made up
viking
a couple of progress pictures of my bonnet Edited August 31, 2016 by viking
viking
now the question with the inside of the bonnet was what to do, the choices were paint nicely round the edges and Schultz the rest and maybe put some sound proofing on it, paint it all nicely, but then i saw a range rover over the road they there doing up at jake wrights and with that under the wings and other places they have used Schultz then sprayed over it and it looked good, so iv opted for that option, hes cracking on with it now as hes got some free time, and that was the deal when we started to keep the price down, i told him to just do it when he can and not put off any other work, . . Reason....................carpet needs to slide underneath it...........so if you have carpet or going to put carpet you will need them........ what is SCHULTZ... ? there were some things that have gone underneath but i thought thats where they went as they were like captive nut plates. i think the front carpet i got went just an inch or two over the top of the seat base, if it turns into a problem, it will be one thats crossed when i get to it and as for schultz, like gordon said Black, heavy duty underseal. thats the stuff Edited August 31, 2016 by viking

viking
well im so glad i decided to give using the old wheels ago, new wheels would of cost £300 then they would of needed painting, just picked up my old probably original wheels, shot blasted, powder coated and lacquered, £80 as i the bloke whos doing my spraying knows the bloke who does the powder coating, to me thats for nothing really, they have come up a treat, there is a small amount of pitting on one of the wheels but its hardly noticeable, im more than interspersed with them, and iv probably saved £250 iv just ordered some new inner tubes so when they come then the tyres can go on the wheels and straight on to bonni
