welshdragon77
I have issues with my .17 hmr, previously zeroed. Im pretty sure i banged the scope but so now its shooting 2 ft high at 50 yards, just used 40 shots and im still trying to get it on sight. Any ideas or do i just persist. Thanks
robbiep
Start at 20 yards, then work out.
K Mac
Check the mounts are tight first. Be bold with your adjustments. If you see no movement it might be worth takings the scope off the gun. Give it a shake and listen for a rattle.
Dougy
How hard did you bang it ? 2ft high at 50yds is allot. Could you have bent the scope or the mountings ? Swap scope over 1st then change the mounts.
Underdog
You say you knocked it! For it to shoot so high you will ofbent the oobjective bell closer to the barrel! You will have to rotate the scope 180° and measure the distance or gap between the objective bell and barrel, put it back where it was and measure again. Say there was a 4mm difference, you now with the scope fixed solid in the original position bend it away from the barrel 2mm.
Underdog
If you have bent it, bin it.Ocular on a variable, yes. Objective and not a competitive long range shooter, try it!
