nnorman32
Hi, Advice and tips needed, anyone store a semi auto in a breakdown cabinet? cabinet is 33"high. I'm looking at a 28" barrel 48AL Franchi and wonder if it will fit or just be a pain to reassemble every time. Cheers
clakk
its how i started ,with a Hatsan semi.took about 6 months to get bored and buy a full size cabinet .if you have no space fair enough but when you buy a full size 1 keep the breakdown as you may buy More shotguns and need some where to keep them .There,s always need for more SBS ,O/U you need 1 of each just because
WinchesterDave
I've got a 28" sx3 and I've got to unscrew the recoil pad everytime to get it to fit... it's a right pain like

Cosd
Full size cabinet if you have the room, and even then, check your semi will fit in comfortably. Mine is a squeeze in one of my full size cabinets and needs breaking down so i don't clang it about.
cueball
My m2 fits in a breakdown fine. I just don't bother reassembling it once I get home and clean it so it just gets chucked in. As everyone has said if space permits get a full size if you can. My breakdown has shelves so it can be used as an ammo safe if needed. So they are useful even once you do buy a full size safe. From memory it is 890mm high (Fortify KAL safe) good little safe, but if you do go full size then make sure you look at the new safes, lok away I think they are called Deffo wish they were out when I was shopping for a safe. I bought myself an extra tall cabinet recently - now all my longer guns fit without breaking them down.
Cosd
I bought myself an extra tall cabinet recently - now all my longer guns fit without breaking them down. Snap My existing cabinet is 6 gun, and though the semi fits, i have to take the other guns out so I can angle it in. I have now got another 6 gun cabinet which is taller but it's not fitted yet since I am supposed to be moving house next week. When I move to the new house I'll mount both cabinets so they both get authorised by the FAO.
