Myself and a friend have been threatening to go beach casting for the last few months and last night we finally did, we drove down to devon and set up at seaton, starting at aroubd 8pm hoping for some mackerel, well hope was all there was, the feathers and spinners came up with nothing, we had a rod set up and out for bottom feeders whilst we were casting, and when we bought it in and we had one plaice and one gurnad(sp) on the line. So set up the other rod to do a bit more. We were out till around 2am. We ended uo taking two plaice and a dog fish away with us but also caught and put back two eels a young red mullet and my smallest ever catch... Couldnt tell you what it was though.
