hi... new to this forum. went out today not expecting much due to the sunshine and lack of wind but was very suprised. shooting over lucearn regular small flocks coming over the decoys ended up with 53 so just goes to show you never know whats going to happen even when conditions dont look good....

well done matey...i fine bag indeed. I tend to find that if you let the numbers build up for a day or so rather that jumping on them as soon as they show, you can get the larger bags....

alot of the younger pigeons shooters as so keen to get on the fields that they mis out on the larger bags through haste.

Saying that though when shooting under the guise of vermin control, the fact that they not on the field is sometimes sufficient! :good:

thanks guys... went on the same field yesterday only shot 7 a bit to warm i think also veary little wind i think a nice strong breeze helps. most of the rape is on full flower around here thats herts but still some short patches to be had.....

I had exactly the same.

On Friday had a cracking day. Ended up with 86 on OSR.

Went back on Sunday only had 8.

I shall rest it for a week or so and then have another look. I think I shot them off the field but there is a lot of bare patches, so I am hoping they might come back.

It's worth keeping your eye on it.
