fruity
Hi all I've been concentrating solely on Fox's lately with good results. Been trying to get out a few evenings on the bunnies, but this part the country it's just rained and rained , manage to get literally an hour in between storms and had a sensible bag off two fields , about to try another and the heavens opened again so headed home via flooded roads. A few for the hawks though Cheers
WelshMike
Nicely done despite the weather. In answer to the post title, yes..but probably not in the UK
Underdog
Nice one mate. Rabbits like a wet night, for many it is the only drink they get and you never see a drenched rabbit! They look like cracking rabbits too.

I think where it's been so wet first dry spell and there all out
Underdog
Yes, you often see them very happy after a wet shower.
fortune
Why are the rabbits so dry? If the ground and roads are flooded and there is torrential rain where have they been to find a totally dry place underground? I've noticed this on some fox shoots that I have been on whereby it has been raining hard and my jacket and leggings are wet but charlie has broken cover and is bone dry> I've thought " Where has this one been laid up to not be wet". I've known them to lay up in hay barns etc but out on the open fields: I would have thought that they would have gotten soaked just by being out in the rain. I did. On the other hand There were a couple of blokes out with ferrets out on a day when the ground was frozen and very dry but the rabbits that they were bolting were soaking wet from underground. The skin and connective tissues/muscles keep them dry.

They look fairly dry , but I found once I pick them up there actually fairly wet if that makes sense , always as if there top layer of fur stays dry ??
