How many engines have you stripped and rebuilt like this?

 

 

the last one i rebuilt like this was a perkins v8 540....off an aveling barford asg013 grader...i was abroad and got board in the evenings.......and before that i "pimped" a leyland 601e.....off a tm140 dozer....same engine as the old london bus............i just get board easy .......

i know its all fine ...but the only thing im worried about is the injector pump....im sure it is ok and the engine was running with it on...its the only thing i darent take apart and check ..as i dont knoe enuff about it ...

All this talk about firing it up, i got to go out today, i dont want to go now. :lol:

Got to go and feel some pins and bushes and inspect some sprockets, hope i can remember what i am doing Simon :lol:

 

 

you will remember it will all come flooding back to you................

Are you running the new engine up in the LR or in a cradle ditchman

 

 

am going to run it up in the shed on the cradle as you see it.........i will have to tac weld the cradle to the steel bench thingy ..cause like my bum it will twitch a bit when energised........

all mounted up now...........i need one "banjo bolt" for the top of the filter for the bleed back before i can do anything else.........tomorrow i will be taking the rocker box off and putting the cork gasket on....and i have to cut and fit somepipework for the turbo-charger drain...and several othe bits and bobs...
